THERE IS A TRAITOR AMONG US

OBJECTIVE: One team of "dirty neighbors" has been selected to act as The Traitors. Their goal is to maintain cover while screwing your chances of winning gold! The goal for the faithful is to stick together to identify these scumbags. The only problem is the traitor is amongst us. How do you know who is telling the truth? How do you know who you can trust?

1. THE SELECTION

By June 25th, every team must use the Spudomatic portal (the button that says GET YOUR TEAM ROLE on the last page) to receive their designation. You will enter the name of your country where it says Name/Nickname. When you hit submit, you will either be assigned a traitor or a faithful. If you are a traitor, you want to keep that hidden at all costs!

2. PRE-GAME PUNISHMENT

The team selected as Traitors will receive a special code when they're assigned as a traitor. REMEMBER THIS CODE. To inflict pain click here and enter the password you were given on the Spudomatic site. From there, you will select a sabotage for each event. You can only assign ONE sabotage PER TEAM. So pick a different team for each sabotage.

3. THE SABOTAGES

On the day of the Beer Olympics, the teams will find out what their sabotages are. Seven teams will be sabotaged, while three teams remain sabotage free. The traitors may assign a sabotage to themselves to throw everyone off! If you don't successfully complete your sabotage, you are immediately disqualified from that game.

4. THE SIGNATURE TASK

During the Olympics, the Traitors must perform THREE signature tasks they choose before the games. The list of tasks are below. This is the "tell" for the faithful. If you were assigned as a faithful, you'll look for someone doing these tasks on the day of the olympics. Look out for people doing weird things. The Traitors must perform this tell often enough to satisfy the requirements, but subtly enough to avoid detection. See someone doing something weird? Take note, it could win you some prizes! Wear those beer goggles with one eye open!

5. THE BANISHMENT

At the end of the night, a 5-minute round-table will begin where everyone can voice their opinions on who they think the traitors were. At the end of the five minutes, each team will vote on who they think the traitor team is. If the Faithful correctly identify the Traitors, the Traitors are "banished", losing the Traitor prize to be split amongst the faithful. If the Traitors remain undetected, they claim the glory AND the prize.

Things to remember:

  1. The traitors will try to throw people off at the round table. You don't know who you can trust!
  2. The traitors will be able to vote and will probably vote for someone other than themselves.
  3. If there is a split vote, and the traitors are identified, all of the faithful win. For example, if 7 teams select Italy, and 3 teams select Iran, and Italy is the traitor, all of the faithful share the prize.
  4. After the vote, the traitors must identify the three tasks they selected and when they did it for confirmation the task was completed. If the traitors fail to perform a task, they are automatically eliminated and the faithful win.
